| Case Study 1- Enterprise Application Integration
The client is a leading insurance third party administration company meeting the risk management, employee benefits, workers' compensation and property & liability consulting and brokerage objectives of public entities, health care systems and high-tech firms. The company has several independent business units, each specializing in specific areas of insurance and business administration. Each business unit works as an independent silo and the IT architecture supporting these businesses has also evolved in a manner that prevented the top management from having a single holistic view of the whole organization.
Solivar was called in to help address the situation. Using the Zachman Framework, the Solivar team mapped the current state architecture to the desired future state architecture and identified the gaps that existed. The team then went on to define a road map and outline a detailed project plan that would help the company achieve its objective of having an integrated architecture supporting its business units without losing any of their investments in Information Technology.
This project continues to be a work in progress.
